Cancellation, Refund and Participation Policy

CATRINAS Retreat 2026 is a complete five-day program taking place November 1–5, 2026. The reservation deposit is USD $1,000 per participant and is applied toward the selected accommodation package. The remaining balance must be paid in full by October 17, 2026.

Participant Cancellation

Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing using the contact information provided in the reservation confirmation. The date and time the written request is received determines the applicable cancellation period.

Through October 17, 2026: Full refund of all retreat payments received by Pneuma Trance, excluding third-party payment-processing fees that are not returned to Pneuma Trance.
October 18–22, 2026: 50% refund of the total retreat payments received.
October 23–27, 2026: No cash refund. A credit equal to 25% of the total retreat payments received will be issued toward one future Pneuma Trance retreat.
Beginning October 28, 2026: No refund or credit.
No-shows: No refund or credit.

Any future-retreat credit is valid for 12 months from November 1, 2026, may be used once, is subject to availability, has no cash value, and is not transferable to another person.

If Pneuma Trance is able to fill the canceled place with another fully paid participant, Pneuma Trance may, at its discretion, increase the refund up to 100% of the retreat payments received, excluding non-recoverable payment-processing fees.

Approved refunds will be initiated within 10 business days. The participant’s bank or card issuer may require additional processing time.

Complete Program and Optional Participation

CATRINAS Retreat is purchased as one complete five-day program. It is not priced or sold by individual activity, ceremony, meal, transfer, hotel night, destination, or service.

All activities listed as part of the official program are included in the retreat price unless expressly identified as separate or optional at an additional cost. Participation in each activity is voluntary. A participant may choose not to join the Catrina preparation, parade, hike, temazcal ceremonies, balloon flight, Danza del Sol, guided practices, or another scheduled activity.

Choosing not to participate, being unable to participate because of personal, physical, medical, emotional, travel, or other individual circumstances, arriving after the retreat begins, leaving before November 5, or missing any portion of the program does not create a partial refund, credit, discount, price reduction, or release from an outstanding balance.

Health Review and Participant Responsibility

Within 48 hours after the deposit, each participant receives a private and confidential Health Review that explains the retreat activity by activity. Its purpose is to help the participant understand the physical, environmental, emotional, and practical demands of the program before completing the remaining balance. It is informational and is not medical or psychiatric treatment.

Each participant remains responsible for deciding whether the retreat and each optional activity are appropriate for their own circumstances. Participants must provide accurate information, follow reasonable safety instructions, respect the group, facilitators, local collaborators, properties, traditions, and communities, and avoid conduct that places themselves or others at risk.

Pneuma Trance may restrict a participant from a particular activity, or require a participant to leave the retreat, when reasonably necessary for safety, serious misconduct, disruption, intoxication, violation of instructions, or material misrepresentation of relevant information. Removal for these reasons does not create a refund or credit.

Weather, Safety and Program Changes

The balloon flight, mountain route, parade, archaeological access, transportation, outdoor activities, ceremonies, and participation of local collaborators depend on weather, operator decisions, local authorization, road conditions, safety requirements, and circumstances outside Pneuma Trance’s control.

Pneuma Trance may adjust the schedule, order, route, location, facilitator assignment, transportation, or individual activity when reasonably necessary. When practical, an alternative activity or arrangement will be offered. Such changes do not constitute cancellation of the complete retreat and do not create a partial refund or credit.

Cancellation by Pneuma Trance

If Pneuma Trance cancels the complete retreat and does not provide a rescheduled retreat accepted by the participant, Pneuma Trance will refund all retreat payments received from that participant.

Pneuma Trance is not responsible for airfare, passport or visa expenses, additional hotel nights, personal purchases, lost wages, independent transportation, or other external costs incurred by the participant.

Travel and Insurance

Airfare to and from Mexico and comprehensive travel or trip-cancellation insurance are not included. Participants are strongly encouraged to purchase insurance covering cancellation, interruption, medical emergencies, travel delays, lost baggage, and other personal travel risks.

Assist Card travel medical coverage included with the retreat is subject to its own terms, exclusions, limits, and claims procedures. It does not replace comprehensive travel or trip-cancellation insurance.

Payment of the deposit confirms that the participant has reviewed and accepted this Cancellation, Refund and Participation Policy.
