Modalities of Pneuma Trance®
Pneuma Trance® is practiced progressively. Each modality corresponds to a different level of experience, nervous system stability, and inner readiness. Practice always precedes depth, ensuring safety, coherence, and meaningful integration.
Pneuma Trance® Basic Practice
Pneuma Trance® Basic Practice is the foundational modality of the method. It introduces introspective breathing and conscious silence in a structured, accessible, and grounded way.

This practice focuses on nervous system regulation, mental clarity, and the development of a stable relationship with silence. Participants learn how to enter and exit inner states with awareness and control, making this modality suitable for regular life practice and long-term continuity.
At this level, the emphasis is on grounding, coherence, and clarity. Non-ordinary phenomena may be subtle or absent, as the purpose is not depth but stability and regulation.
-
Introspective breathing
10 to 15 minutes.
-
Focus
Regulation, clarity, grounding, and daily life integration.
-
Access
Open to all participants. No prior experience required.
Pneuma Trance® Intermediate Practice
Pneuma Trance® Intermediate Practice is intended for practitioners who already have experience with the method and can sustain presence during longer breathing phases.

This modality allows access to functional Non-Ordinary States of Consciousness while maintaining orientation, coherence, and integration. The emphasis shifts toward stability within altered states, symbolic understanding, and deeper internal organization.
At this level, mild non-ordinary phenomena may arise, such as spontaneous imagery, emotional insight, symbolic impressions, or subtle shifts in perception. These experiences remain partial and contained, supporting integration rather than intensity.
-
Introspective breathing
15 to 20 minutes.
-
Focus
Sustained presence, symbolic insight, nervous system training, and deeper integration.
-
Access
Progressive access. Prior practice required. Instructor guidance or recommendation applies.
Pneuma Trance® Advanced Practice
Pneuma Trance® Advanced Practice represents the deepest level of the method. It is designed for experienced practitioners who have demonstrated the ability to remain stable and regulated during extended periods of breathing and silence.

This modality supports access to more stable and deeper Non-Ordinary States of Consciousness (ENOC) and is used for advanced inner exploration, hypno-symbolic processes, psychological reorganization, and spiritual integration.

At this level, experiences may arise that resemble psychedelic states commonly associated with substances such as psilocybin. These can include partial dissolution of the sense of self, intense symbolic activation, inner imagery or visions, altered perception of time, and experiences of unity or deep coherence. In Pneuma Trance®, such states emerge without substances, with full lucidity, voluntary return, and structured integration.
These experiences are not sought or induced as a goal. They arise as a natural consequence of sustained practice, nervous system regulation, and inner coherence.
-
Introspective breathing
30 to 40 minutes.
-
Focus
Deep inner exploration, symbolic work, psychological reorganization, and spiritual integration.
-
Access
Restricted modality. Requires prior practice and instructor approval.
Important note
Access to Intermediate and Advanced Practices is progressive and based on experience, stability, and instructor evaluation. Pneuma Trance® prioritizes regulation, integration, and conscious presence over intensity. Depth is determined by training and experiential maturity, not by force, expectation, or external substances.
